Gir Del was incorparated in 1973, starting out in a 2,000 sq. ft. location and has expanded 4 times since to it’s new present 32,500 sq. ft. location.  We were aquired by Guillevin International Co. in May 1989.  The Corporate Head Office for Guillevin is in Montreal, Quebec; and they now have over 1,000 employees in over 100 branch locations.

We moved to our state of the art facility at the end of August, 2006; and have now grown into one of the largest hydraulic service companies in Alberta.  This new facility will allow us to continue our double digit growth while still maintaining the high level of service that is now both expected and appreciated by our present customers.

Gir Del is pleased to announce that as of October 01, 2006 we have been appointed as a full line PARKER Mobile Hydraulic product distributor.  This expanded product line will greatly enhance our ability to be the single source supplier to the majority of our customers hydraulic requirements.

Inaddition to the products we represent, our hydraulic cylinder repair division includes complete machining, hard chroming and high speed honing departments.  The hydraulic component repair division repairs a broad range of components, and our 130′ long drive through bay accomodates hydraulic installation / repairs on mobile equipment.

Gir Del is one of the founding members of the Western Chapter of the Canadian Fluid Power Association (CFPA).  We were also instrumental in implementing an accredited Fluid Power Curriculum for grades 10 - 12 into the Edmonton School Board, the first of its kind in Canada.
